DRUMLINE TAKES SECOND AT MT. VERNON; GOING TO GREENFIELD

The crowd at Mt. Vernon loved last Saturday’s Winter Drumline & Guard program – and so did the judges! Plainfield took second place, just one point behind the defending state champs, Norwell.

Mr. Roberts and company have been adding to and refining the show, and you’ll have another chance to see it at Saturday’s contest at Greenfield Central. Doors will open at 1:30 p.m. and our class begins at 7:20. Admission is $5, and the schedule is as follows:

12:30   - Rehearsal

3:30     - Load truck bus & bring a snack to eat on bus

4:30     - Depart Greenfield.

5:30     - Arrive

6:00     - Unload

7:00     - Equipment Warm-up (ALL PROP HELP IN PLACE)

7:20     - Transit

7:30     - Stage

7:40     - PERFORMANCE

7:50     - Change after truck is loaded and eat at contest site

9:15     - Awards

10:00   - Depart

11:00   - Arrive Plainfield

Students should eat and drink well before and after contest. They are responsible for their own conditioning, equipment and uniform. Chaperons are in charge and can expect complete cooperation from students!

Getting to Greenfield (approximately 55 minutes): Take I-70 east all the way across Indianapolis to the Indiana Route 9 exit (#104). Go south (right) on Indiana 9 for about 1 1/2 miles, then turn west (right) on McKenzie Road. In about a half mile, turn left on Broadway and continue to the school.

WE STILL HAVE SOME TRASH BAGS
